Shoestrings launch contest

Thank you to everyone who submitted their projects to our Shoestrings Launch Contest! We will be reviewing the entries in the next couple of weeks and announce the winner in January 2012

The winner will receive a full marketing package to promote their new integration to our user base and beyond (details below), and an Interactive Pass to join the Shoeboxed team at SXSW in March 2012.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Concept
    Our Business Development team spends most of their time talking to users and partners about how to make Shoeboxed more valuable to them. After they review your idea, they can give you detailed feedback and brainstorm ways to tweak your concept based on what they have learned from these conversations.
  2. Build and Launch
    If you make it out of Biz Dev alive, you will be in touch with our very talented team of Programmers, who will be happy to make new friends and help you with any API-related questions. When your integration is ready for prime-time, they will help you with the last pre-launch tweaks, and then sometime around 3 AM one day, your creation will go live.
  3. The Morning After
    After the mandatory launch party, we will get right down to promoting your integration. This marketing package includes:
    • Promotion to our user base through Twitter and Facebook
    • A featured blog post about you and your new integration
    • A featured mention in our semi-annual newsletter that is sent to over 100K people
    • An opportunity to co-host webinars with users who want to learn more about your integration and see it in action
    • A press release sent to our contacts at leading news outlets including TechCrunch, The NYT, and LifeHacker.
